Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician

Shift Makeup:
- First shift 7:00 – 3:30, Monday thru Friday
Average hours per week: 40 hours
Must Have:
- Minimum 3-5 years of Industrial Manufacturing maintenance experience — food production experience a plus
- High level of initiative and strong communication skills — proactive problem solver
- Proficient in working with electrical up to 480V
- Strong troubleshooting/diagnose and repair of mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience installing new equipment and maintaining new and existing machines
**Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks**
Nice to Have:
- Technical Degree or University Degree
- Welding ability
Company Description:
Client is a medium-sized privately owned manufacturing company focused on all natural pet treats. They are continuing to ramp up production and are in the process of adding additional lines and machines to expand product offerings.
Primary Responsibilities:
As a maintenance technician you will perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists
- Repairing electrical or mechanical equipment
- Installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Pipe fitting, insulating, welding; machining; carpentry, rebuilding or replacing pumps
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work using our maintenance management system
- Fill out proper documentation in accordance to customer specification and government agencies
- Aid other employees to maintain a safe process and quality product Follow Safety Procedures Maintain clean work environment
