Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia compressors, liquid pumps, evaporative condensers, and air system controls. The ideal candidate must have 2+ years of industrial refrigeration experience and hold a valid OP I, OP II, or RETA CIRO certification, with a proven ability to perform routine PMs and troubleshoot complex mechanical and process issues. Key responsibilities include managing ammonia transfers across plant systems, maintaining PSM/RMP compliance, and utilizing technical documents such as P&IDs and schematics to update SOPs and work orders. You must be proficient in checking electrical components like voltage and resistance using a Volt-Ohm-Meter and possess a strong understanding of the refrigeration cycle, high-pressure steam boilers, and HVAC systems. While a basic understanding of Lean Principles is a plus, you must be committed to adhering to all safety policies and reporting equipment hazards to management to ensure a safe and efficient production environment.
