Shift Makeup:

  • D shift nights; 6pm – 6am Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Rotating Sunday 3-4-4-3
  • Training Shift; Monday-Friday / Day Shift (long training period for familiarity, up to 1 year)
Must Have: Positive attitude and "work completion" mindset.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.
  • Proven experience working as a maintenance technician. (5+ years preferred)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently, looking for a well-rounded technician
  • Excellent understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, control systems, and industrial automation.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Analytical ability to proactively work through problems and implement solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Power and hand tool knowledge

Company Description:

This company is a major manufacturer of residential insulating glass units (IGU) for windows and doors. The facility focuses on designing and fabricating high-quality, energy-efficient glass products, including coated and tempered glass for the residential market. Produces sealed insulating glass units for window manufacturers serving the northeastern United States.
 
Position Summary:

Responsible for the upkeep and repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities. This includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and making repairs to mechanical, electrical, and other systems. Ensure all equipment is safe, functional, and well-maintained.
 
Primary Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day equipment maintenance which includes troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical systems and timely repair of those systems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and solve problems associated with equipment downtime.
  • Work with minimal supervision: you will need to be self-motivated, dependable, punctual, organized, and be in attendance for work duties.
  • Submit work orders into our CMMS for each call with detailed information for reporting purposes.
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with both maintenance and production employees while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Comply with company safety standards.
                                                                       
  • Preventative Maintenance:
    • Perform routine and specialized maintenance on highly automated, state of the art glass production equipment.
    • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment.
    • Lubricate, clean, and adjust machinery according to manufacturer specifications and established maintenance schedules.
    • Inspect equipment for wear and tear, identifying and addressing potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.
    • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair:
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment failures.
    • Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, including motors, pumps, valves, sensors, and control systems.
    • Utilize electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals to identify and resolve equipment problems.
    • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Equipment Installation and Modification:
    • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
    • Perform modifications and upgrades to existing equipment to improve performance and efficiency.
    • Ensure all installations and modifications comply with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Report any safety hazards or equipment deficiencies to management.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies.
    • Order and receive parts as needed.
    • Track and document parts usage.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with production and sanitation teams to ensure efficient equipment operation.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other maintenance personnel.
    • Provide technical support and training to other employees as needed.
    • Maintain a work order system and input all relevant data.

  • All equipment is in-house engineered specifically for their task
  • Gas and electric oven for glass tempering
  • 6 axis pick and place robotics
  • Laser cutting
